HOLIDAY TRAIN SHOW | NOV. 21 2015—JAN. 18 2016 | NY Botanical Garden
NYC’s Favorite Train Show Is Bigger Than Ever! Enchanting model trains zip through a display of 150 landmarks, each re-created with bark, leaves, and other natural materials—all under the twinkling glow of the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory. Marvel at G-scale locomotives humming along among familiar sights such as the Brooklyn Bridge, Statue of Liberty, and Rockefeller Center—surprising at every turn—on nearly a half-mile of track. This year’s exhibition features3,000 square feet of additional exhibition space, making room for dozens of new trains, bridges, and tracks; a captivating short film of the show's behind-the-scenes magic; and a stunning multi-sensory finale of light and sound.

Festive and fun outdoor activities set the scene for experiencing the Holiday Train Show® during these nights for adults. Pick up a complimentary cocktail, beer, or glass of wine as you explore the Haupt Conservatory after dark, before heading outside for seasonal fun including live music; ice sculpting; fire performances; and warming spiked cocoa from Frosty's Schnapps Haus, a new outdoor dining option open during the exhibition.

Family Art Project: Snow-Globe Gift Boxes | Dec. 19 - 10:00AM-1:00PM
|Wave Hill House
Walk among Wave Hill’s majestic conifers with their wonderful scents and textures. Then, using live pine boughs we provide, create a winter wonderland resembling a snow globe. Add inhabitants and decorate it with shiny foil, snow-like shapes and natural objects like cones, dried herbs and spices.
Free, and admission to the grounds is free until noon.
