Construction boom in the Bronx?
It seems like everywhere I turn, I see a new construction site. There's an influx of new shopping developments in the 10463 zip code, two along Broadway. Soon we'll have a new TJ Maxx, Aldi food, Buffalo Wild Wings, and a BJs whole sale store. All positive signs of economic fortitude.

According to Robert LiMandri- former Commissioner of the NYC Buildings Department, the Bronx has seen an 80% increase in construction licenses from 2011 to 2012! That's huge! Not only will these new projects provide more job opportunities for our borough, but a lot of the building permits were granted for new housing developments. More jobs + more housing (hopefully a good portion will be affordable) = a recipe for success!
