To commemorate the 150th anniversary of the historic Woodlawn Cemetery, and to honor those in Woodlawn’s care, on June 11, 2014, the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis will perform live and en plein aire at the cemetery.
This concert is free to the public, and Woodlawn welcomes families and those eager to experience the joy of jazz in a unique setting to spend an evening under the stars. Participants are welcome to visit Woodlawn’s "jazz corner" before the concert begins and spread a blanket on the open lawn at the Jerome Avenue entrance to the cemetery.
The 90-minute set will feature the works of many of the famous jazz artists memorialized at Woodlawn.
Advance registration permits early entry; reserve tickets here.
