Thank you to Adam Levine-Peres of Project Bronx for this vibrant picture of Concrete Plant Park.  It's hard to even tell if it's an actual park, but oh it is! Located at Bronx River between Westchester Ave and Bruckner Blvd, the park was an actual concrete plant from the 1940s through the mid 1980s.  Today, it's a waterfront park with on and off road bike paths, chess tables, a reading circle, promenade, and a kayak/canoe launch site.  We love the blue, red and green hues in the pic! Thanks Adam for sharing!!

Be sure to check out our Notable Bronxite feature on Adam, and to visit his Project Bronx YouTube channel where he releases new ProjectBronx episodes every tuesday.

I love this pic! Yes this is the Bronx and yes this is Orchard Beach.  I love that this picture defies what people think of the Bronx and what people think of Orchard Beach.  This is total serenity and I've never heard anyone describe the Bronx as serene.  Many thanks to Lovie Pignata and be sure to follow her "iLovieNY" pages on twitter, IG, and her tumblr page. Trust me, it's worth it!
