A Win for Jeter's final Home Opener in the Bronx
It will be a day to remember for Yankee fans, the Yankee's organization and Derek Jeter. Today marked the final day that Derek Jeter would step out in pinstripes in a home opener as the Yankees played the Baltimore Orioles. The core four- Andy Pettitte, Derek Jeter, Jorge Posada and Mariano Rivera reunited for the ceremonial first pitch of the game. As expected, Jeter received a standing ovation for his first plate appearance.
Jeter produced the first run of the game, and hit a double in the 5th inning to start a rally. Hiroki Kuroda pitched a great game, and the rest of the team provided the needed support to get the win! The Yankees are now 4-3, having won their last four out of five games.
Great way to close out the final home opener for Derek Jeter and the New York Yankees.
