Bronxites and Hip-Hop Legends Honored by City Council

On Wednesday March 12, the City Council will honor Bronxites and Hip-Hop legends Afrika Bambaattaa, Grandmaster Flash, Kurtis Blow and Melle Mel with a proclamation, according to Councilman Fernando Cabrera. 

We are proud to be the birthplace of hip-hop, and happy that the city will recognize the importance of these legends in one of the most popular and influential musical genres of our time. We congratulate all the honorees!
