Our Mission
Is to change the perception and connotation associated with the Bronx. We have unfairly retained our infamous reputation from the 1970s, when the Bronx was burning, and the perpetual image of poverty, with the designation of the poorest district in the US per the 2010 Census. These two bleak images have consumed us and we're trying to shake it.
The Bronx is vibrant and booming. We are the birthplace of hip-hop, the home of the most storied franchise in sports history (NY Yankees) and the birthplace of very notable Americans. We have top notch educational institutions and hospitals. We're home to the largest park in NY-Pelham Bay Park and the very popular fishing village of City Island. Let's refine the Bronx together!
